🧙‍♀️ Maker’s Vendor Show — What Our Makers Love Most!

🧙‍♀️ Maker’s Vendor Show — What Our Makers Love Most!

October 24 & 25, 2025

📅 Friday: 6:00 – 8:00 PM
📅 Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM

There’s never a dull moment at Yarn Store Boutique — and our upcoming Maker’s Vendor Show is proof! This festive weekend brings together our talented in-house makers and vendors for a celebration of creativity, color, and community.

We’ll kick things off Friday evening with fun, laughter, and Julie’s famous spooky punch (it’s a mystery what’s in it — but it’s always delicious!)  — plus, we’ll be hosting our very own Witches Hat Parade! So grab your pointy hat, your best broom, and join the fun!

On Saturday, the festivities continue all day long. Brian Bently is having two workshops on Tie-Dyed Tea Towels and selling some of his creative items as well.  He is quite talented. And a great personality. You will love Brian and Joseph as well - his honey is amazing. But you might be wondering… what do our makers themselves love to work with? Let’s find out! 🧶

✨ Lizbeth Premium Thread – For All Needle Arts

Our talented makers love Lizbeth Premium Thread, especially for embroidery and micro crochet. This size 10, 100% Egyptian cotton thread has rich, intense colors that make every stitch pop. And speaking of micro crochet — don’t miss our upcoming Micro Crochet Workshop with Pat Crosland, where you can learn how to create those impossibly tiny, intricate designs that always amaze.

💕 Ashleigh’s Picks – Jelly, Whoopee & Whirlette

Our crochet queen Ashleigh can’t get enough of Jelly by Cenicola — a chenille-like yarn that’s incredibly soft and works beautifully for crochet or knit projects. It’s perfect for baby blankets, loveys, or anything you want to snuggle.

She also loves Whoopee by Circulo — a sport-weight, 100% mercerized Brazilian cotton yarn that holds its shape wonderfully. It’s a dream for garments and granny square jackets, offering just the right balance of structure and drape. Machine wash, lay flat to dry!

Pair it with Whirlette by Scheepjes, a lightweight 100% organic cotton that complements Cotton Whirls beautifully. Together, they make airy, breathable garments that feel wonderful to wear year-round.

🧸 Amigurumi Favorites – Soft, Sturdy, and So Cute

Several of our makers specialize in amigurumi, and their go-to yarns are the Queensland Cotton and Queensland Coastal Cotton. Both are made from 100% pure, soft cotton — perfect for stuffed animals, baby items, or even garments.

I personally made a summer top with Coastal Cotton and loved how it held its shape (you know how some cotton yarns “grow” as you wear them — this one doesn’t!).

Another crowd favorite is Amigurumi Pelucia by Circulo — a mini version of the Jelly yarn. It’s plush, soft, and ideal for stuffed animals, hats, or baby sweaters. Our maker Lauren was the one who encouraged me to bring this line in, and we’ve all been hooked ever since.

🧦 Cascade Heritage Fingering – The Colorwork Staple

If you’re a sock or shawl knitter, this one’s a must-have! Cascade Heritage Fingering is a favorite among our makers because it comes in a wide range of colors — perfect for colorwork without breaking the bank. It’s a blend of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon, making it durable, soft, and machine washable.

Great for socks, shawls, and lightweight garments — this is one of those yarns that deserves a permanent place in every stash.

🧺 Nifty Cotton by Cascade Yarns– A Maker’s Workhorse

Our makers also rely on the Nifty Cotton family: Nifty Cotton, Nifty Cotton Splash, and Nifty Cotton Effects — all 100% Brazilian cotton and worsted weight. The colors mix and match beautifully, making them ideal for crochet bags, totes, dishcloths, and home décor.

They’re sturdy, vibrant, and easy-care — machine wash and dry! You’ve got to love that kind of reliability in a cotton yarn.

đź’¬ A Final Word from Yarn Store Boutique

Our Maker’s Vendor Show is more than just an event — it’s a chance to celebrate the talented people who make Yarn Store Boutique such a special community.

We love supporting both our luxury lines and our everyday favorites, ensuring there’s something for every maker, every project, and every price point.

And remember — we’re always open to hearing what yarns you want to see in the shop next. After all, this creative journey is one we share together. 💖
