Well… here we go!
Some of you may not even realize that the Texas Yarn Trail is happening in April this year. We usually gather up for all this fun in August, but with the Dallas Fiber Fest landing right on top of our normal dates, we decided to shift things a bit. And honestly… I kind of like the idea of a spring yarn trail. Feels fresh, doesn’t it?
Now, if you missed the official registration deadline, don’t you worry one bit — you can still join in on the fun by visiting all the shops. And trust me, that’s where the magic is anyway.
Let me see if I can remember everyone off the top of my head (and you all know how that goes 😉):
The Social Knitwork, Mohair & More, Joyfully Stranded, Craftique, Kani Ketu (I’m hoping I spelled that right), Park Avenue Yarns, Scout & Skein… and of course, little ol’ us here at Yarn Store Boutique.
Each of these stores has its own personality — and that’s what makes this so special. You walk into one shop and it feels one way, then another and it’s a completely different experience. It’s like a yarn road trip where every stop tells a new story.
This is our 8th year participating, and over time we’ve said goodbye to a few shops and welcomed in some new ones… just like life, always changing, always growing.
Now… let’s talk about what’s happening here at YSB — because you all know…

And yes… we’ve been busy little squirrels 🐿️ putting together kits — knitting and crochet — so you can just grab something and go. No decisions, no second guessing… just pure making.

And now… here comes my little memory lane moment…
We might have a few surprise sales pop up throughout the week — kind of like the old K-Mart “Blue Light Specials.”
Yes… I worked at K-Mart in high school. I sold shoes, and I loved every minute of it. I just knew I was going to be a store manager one day.
Well… I guess in a roundabout way, that dream stuck 😉
